If anyone teaches deviations from truth and contrary to what is spiritually healthy - which is the message of Jesus Christ which leads to godliness - that one is (1) puffed up with pride, (2) understands nothing, (3) obsessed with disputes and contraversies - these three resulting in envy, stife, slander, evil suspicions and useless wranglings of men.

Spiritual leaders are under an injunction to (1) repeatedly speak about what fits with or matches with those (verses 11-14) things, to (2) exhort, personally instruct or address, and to (3) rebuke - convince with solid compelling evidence, expose - and do so (all three of these points) with every form of authority (all the leverage) possible not letting anyone look down on them (especially of a younger spiritual leader).

Spiritual leaders are to set a pattern (example to be imitated of doing good (things, works) as in (1) teaching with integrity (living what you teach), (2) teach with gravity (its heavy, important), (3) teaching with spiritual consistency (not allowing spoilage related to quality or quantity) - the soundness of the teaching validated by a consistent living so accussers have nothing evil or wicked to say of you.

The saving grace of God that brings salvation (first in Jesus Christ) has appeared all over the world teaching - instructing as training up a child - us IN CHRIST to (1) deny or renounce ungodliness (man-centeredness), (2) deny worldly, fleshly lusts and desires, (3) live soberly, balanced thought lives, (4) righteously (obeying God) doing what God says, (5) God-oriented thinking and living in the days in which we live, and (6) anticipating the return of Jesus Christ.
