Bible Word of the Day is a daily devotional website that sends out an email each day highlighting a different word from the Bible along with a short reflection. Our goal is to help readers connect more deeply with God’s Word and apply biblical truths to their daily lives.
Our ministry began in 2019 when a group of passionate Christians came together with a vision of reaching people through highlighting the beauty and relevance contained in single words of Scripture.
We believe that God’s Word is “living and active” (Hebrews 4:12) and that even individual words hold tremendous power and meaning. Focusing on one word at a time allows for deeper meditation and application.
Our team includes biblical scholars and lay Christians who study the Bible’s original Greek and Hebrew languages in order to properly interpret each word and provide background to bring out its full meaning. We explore the context of the biblical passages from which each word is selected in order to share insight for how it can impact our faith today.
In addition to our daily emails, you can also find us sharing regular reflections on our blog and social media pages. Our website allows you to search and browse archive of all the words we have featured to date. Everything we produce is completely free thanks to the generosity of our ministry partners.
