Necessary qualifications for a man IN CHRIST to serve the church as a deacon (waiter, servant) include: (1) reverent (respected), (2) not deceitfuil in speech, (3) avoids long time over wine, (4) not eager for sordid (shady) financial gain, (5) holds clearly the message of the Gospel of Christ, (6) has been proven blameless overe time, (7) whose wife is respected (not a false accuser, free from intoxicants, reliable in all things), (8) have one wife, (9) and manages his household well.

Spiritual leaders are under an injunction to repeatedly speak about what fits or matches with sound, wholesome, spiritually healthy teaching: employees or servants to (1) do what you are told to do, fulfill your responsibilities, (2) do what pleases your employer or master, avoiding a negative or argumentative relationship, (3) not pilfer or embezzel employer or master possessions, (4) show the employer or master fidelity, trustworthiness - these attitudes and actions will adorn, garnish, make more attractive the teachings (words of) of God, our Savior.

Spiritual leaders are under an injunction to put Christ-followers in remembrance (admonish) again and again how to live in a civil and / or secular society: (1) yield, submit to civil order and authorities, (2) do what civil authorities say, (3) continually be prepared to do every kind of good work, (4) do not vilify anyone (speak evil of), (5) be peaceable (non-violent), (6) be gentle - appropriate, equitable, not extremists - and (7) be an example of all kinds of consideration, gentleness, humility to all men.

Spiritual leaders are to constantly affirm or emphasize these things to those who have believed God's Gospel: (1) don't forget to maintain or practice good works (which are advantageous and good for everyone), (2) avoid foolish disputes, (3) avoid genealogies - the blood line that makes the difference is the blood of Christ, (4) avoid contentions and strivings about law-requirements which are contrary to grace, being unprofitable and useless, and (5) reject from the fellowship one who continues to be divisive (even after rebukes and warnings) - such have condemned themselves to this process.

Spiritual leaders are under an injunction to (1) repeatedly speak about what fits with or matches with those (verses 11-14) things, to (2) exhort, personally instruct or address, and to (3) rebuke - convince with solid compelling evidence, expose - and do so (all three of these points) with every form of authority (all the leverage) possible not letting anyone look down on them (especially of a younger spiritual leader).

Spiritual leaders are to set a pattern (example to be imitated of doing good (things, works) as in (1) teaching with integrity (living what you teach), (2) teach with gravity (its heavy, important), (3) teaching with spiritual consistency (not allowing spoilage related to quality or quantity) - the soundness of the teaching validated by a consistent living so accussers have nothing evil or wicked to say of you.

The saving grace of God that brings salvation (first in Jesus Christ) has appeared all over the world teaching - instructing as training up a child - us IN CHRIST to (1) deny or renounce ungodliness (man-centeredness), (2) deny worldly, fleshly lusts and desires, (3) live soberly, balanced thought lives, (4) righteously (obeying God) doing what God says, (5) God-oriented thinking and living in the days in which we live, and (6) anticipating the return of Jesus Christ.

Spiritual leaders are under an injunction to repeatedly speak about what fits with or matches with sound, wholesome, spiritually healthy teaching: older women in Christ (1) be reverent in behavior (carrying on with their mind God-ward, (2) not false accusers like Satan, (3) spend little or no time at wine, (4) teachers of good things - reminding the younger women (A) to love their husbands and children, (B) to exercise self-control, (C) to be pure and modest, (D) to work at home (domestically inclined), (E) to be good and kind, (F) to obey their own husbands - all so God's Word will not be blasphemed (defamed or vilified).
